Catch Fish Or Die Trying (CFODT) is the brainchild of, host, Joseph Harrick. It’s more than a TV Show…it’s a movement. It’s a vision brought to life through hard work and perseverance. It’s proof in the making that you can come from a rough background and find the silver lining of bad situations. It’s the push of an everyday person in the world that is making strides to become something that people look up to when they need someone to help them get over the next hurdle.
Joseph Harrick grew up in a small town outside of Pittsburgh, PA, and to say he had it rough is an understatement. Fishing wasn’t just a hobby or a way to pass the time, it was a way to make the time more worthwhile. It was a way for Joe to fill voids where he would only end up spending his time with the wrong group, or on the wrong street, or in the wrong point of view. He used fishing to set himself free of his past, and is now writing a future. Until the day Joe dies, he will chase the catch and never give up a chance to share his passion with others.
Over the last 6 years, Joe has found a niche in the kayak fishing industry, and it has led him to form many great relationships along the way. Traveling the country, placing in the top tier or tournaments, and networking like crazy. He’s competitive by nature, and his dynamic personality makes for a great “don’t miss this, or you’ll be sorry” story!
Currently featured on Gen7 Outdoors, Joe has developed a great relationship with some like-minded people in the industry and they intend on changing the way people think about the kayak fishing industry. But, don’t let that make you think that Joe’s only concern is kayak fishing… He fully intends to branch out and leak into the rest of the industry, expanding his voice and desire to help people along the way.
Since the beginning of 2016, Joe has been on a journey around the country, and collaborating with locals in their regions to bring you some of the best catches of the year, and possibly the decade. While the search is just as exciting, our focus is going to be capturing those catches that leave a lasting smile on everyone’s face with competitive nature added in.
